Description of Lyrics

“My Window” was written off my apartment balcony in the inner city of Darwin in early April 2011 where I have a great view of the activities taking place on the Darwin sky and streets below.

Verse I
People flying around = People walking the streets below
Looking through a blanket of the sky = Watching a dark rain cloud heading my way

Verse II
Through the lights of the getaway = People driving and walking down the streets where the lights have now turned on

Chorus
‘My window’ represents the view and freedom from my balcony.
Nice and high represents my bird’s eye view from my level 16 apartment.

Verse III
Looking down all I see is open doors = The Darwin businesses that people are walking in and out of
Watching through a pair of Jasmine Eyes = I am a member of the new Darwin Original band ‘Jasmine Revolution’ therefore watching the activities through my eyes.

I’M LOOKING OUT AT DARWIN = Signifies my love for the beautiful sites of Darwin surroundings
